Have you ever wanted to make a paper air plane fly? By using my simple steps you can make a successful paper air flyer. All you need is a piece of paper and a little brain.
Steps
-
Lay your piece of paper on a flat hard surface.
-
Fold the top corner of the paper to the other corner and crease. Unfold the crease you just made. Do the same to the other side.
-
You should have an X on your paper with a some space with no folds on the bottom. Push in the sides and push down the top and crease. It should look kind of like a house.
-
Fold the corner of the part that looks like a triangle to top of the triangle and crease. Do the same to the other side. The part you folded should now look like a diamond.
-
Take a corner of diamond and fold it to the middle of the diamond.
-
Now above the part of the folds you just made there is a small triangle. Rip or cut the triangle down the middle until you reach your previous folds.
-
Now take one side of the triangle you just cut in half and tuck it into the gap of the previous fold you made. Do the same to opposite side.
-
Fold the plane in half vertically.
-
Take the part you just folded in half and fold about three quarters of the side down. Do the same to other side.
-
Fold the wing you just folded down in half so the wing is parallel to the bottom of the flyer. Do the same thing to opposite side.
-
Your plane is now finished and ready to fly.
Tips
- If the paper air flyer isn't flying the way you expected, you can fold the wings a different way to get optimal flying performance. It is recommended you use regular writing paper and not construction paper.
Warnings
- Don't throw the paper air flyer at people or animals. It could hurt someone.
