Pinatas originated in Mexico, popping up at every fiesta they had. Simple pinatas made of a Styrofoam cup are easy to make and can be made as party favor holders.
Steps
-
Outline the edge of the opening of the cup on a blank piece of paper and cut it out. Draw a face and any other decorations as desired on the cut out circle.
-
On the cup, colour a design or pattern with lots of bright colours.
-
Next, cut out two triangles and colour them.
-
Fill up the pinata and glue or tape the circle with the face showing up on the cup.
-
Tape/glue the ears on the pinata. If you used glue, wait for it to dry.
-
Give the pinata to someone with a popsicle stick!
Tips
- Tape does not look as good as glue does, but it's much simpler.
- You can use crayons, pencil crayons, markers, or paint to decorate the pinata.
Warnings
- This is a mini pinata!
