Creating flyers for your school, church or business events doesn't have to be hard. With Halloween coming soon, here is an example of how easy it is to create an event flyer that is sure to attract welcome results. You can use this method to make brochures and business flyers as well.

Steps

  1. Flyer Creator

    Install an application like Easy Flyer Creator (http://www.flyerscreator.com)
  2. Once you have launched the program, select a template.
  3. Expand the Page Properties Bar at the bottom of the control window so you can select a back color.
  4. Here orange has been selected for the backcolor. Select Add a New Picture to select your theme clip art, or you can import your own.
  5. This is what the flyer looks like so far
  6. Next, select the Add New Text icon, and type in your first words. Mine is PARTY!!!
  7. Select the font, size, and color.
  8. Repeat the steps for adding each new text selection
  9. Select the Plug in Icon; in the drop down window select Add Bar Code.
  10. In the Add Bar code Window, select the Add QR Code Radio Button
  11. In the text Window, type in the address from the flyer
  12. Select the Size Drop Down Window and select the size you want the QR Code to be, then select the Apply button
  13. Drag the QR Code to the area on the flyer you want it to be.
  14. Go to the Outline and Shadow Panel of the Control Window and move the Outline Slide Control so the outline is larger than the QR Code. Select White as the Shadow Color; this will enhance the smartphone’s ability to pick up the QR Code information
  15. Now that you have all the elements on your flyer, select the Next button located in the lower left hand corner; this will give you a preview of your work. Select the Back button and you return to the Design Window.
  16. If you like the event flyer that you made, you’ll want to save it. Select the Save Icon in the lower right hand corner, and when prompted, give the flyer a name and a file type. It can be saved as a .jpeg, .pdf, or .png file. For this demonstration, I am saving it as a .jpeg file
  17. The flyer can now be printed, sent thru e-mail, or uploaded to a folder on your computer.That’s it! You can use these steps to make a host of event flyers, brochures, and business flyer.
