Hi there! Here is my tutorial for my Patchoupage Cards and Kits. Patchoupage is a shortened form of patchwork decoupage. Each card sheet has a card front and a patchwork version of it.
The patches come in various shapes and sizes: squares, rectangles, hexagons etc.
Most are just one layer, but some have a double layer. Some squares are smaller than others, making the design more delicate. Patchoupage kits have a choice of patchwork design for the base image, a backing sheet, sentiments and a matching envelope. A patchoupage card is very simple to make.
Just attach the full image to a plain or pre-backed card base.
Then cut out the patchwork design and attach with foam pads or other glue of your choice. When you cut out your patchwork pieces, you will see that they are surrounded by a frame in a co-ordinating colour.
The idea is to leave a thin strip of the patchwork frame border so that it provides the patchwork effect on the finished item. Most of the cards for the launch are squares and rectangles, a couple are hexagonal.
There will be more soon including octagons, pentagons, circles, hearts etc. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I have enjoyed designing them. Best wishes. Christine.
