Im from an area that gets snow every winter. We always looked forward to the seasons first snowfall, and with great anticipation for snow for Christmas. I now live in an area with palm trees, springs and swimming all year round.
I miss the snow at Christmas, but other than that, dont miss all the mess :)Instead of decorating a pine tree outside, we decorate our palms, here is a beautiful Canary Island Date Palm.We truly wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a safe and blessed New Year!

I just am making an original necklace for my husband for Christmas! Yes, I also create jewelry too. The stone, featured here, is from QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA and is called a YOWAH OPAL. Im weaving a black wire Viking chain from which to hang it.

I grew up in the Washington DC area, in Maryland; every winter we could count on some snow. It always made the holiday season seem more special, especially on Christmas Eve!
Where I live now there is no snow ever, but I still enjoy designing with snow themes.We always made the traditional snowmen and snow angels on the ground and then came in for hot chocolate and marsh mellows, and hopefully some homemade cookies fresh from the oven.

Recently we moved to our new home closer to the bass fishing capital of the world, the west coast of Florida, USA.
Across the state from Disney World in Orlando, Florida. There are a lot of streams, lakes and of course the Gulf of Mexico coastline with fantastic fishing!
My husband thought it was time for a new boat (well new to us boat) so we got 2!!! 1 is a pontoon boat with lots if room for friends and family and the 4 dogs, of course.
The other a smaller speed boat for the 2 of us. We are planning to catch and eat a lot of fish, great for our health and waistlines too :)Thanks for looking and we wish you all the best this week!
Here is a photo of my husband, Jim holding a Gopher Turtle. These huge turtles are on the Endangered Species List and live right in our back yard! At first the dogs just would not leave them alone and kept barking at them, trying to play.
Soon they got the message from the turtles and us, that they were not toys. Luckily as Mother Nature would have it, their nest is just outside the fence and our babies cant get to them :)
