I feel ashamed that once again
I've missed your special day,
A million excuses I could make
But that wouldn't be okay,
So instead I'll hold my hands up high
And apologise to you,
I hope you had a wonderful day
And that all your dreams come true.

It hit me like a ton of bricks,
To send your card I must be quick,
But alas Mr. Postie in his little red van,
Had collected all the envelopes and away he ran,
So my birthday greetings are rather late,
Oh I'm sad to say I missed the date,
But I hope your day was happy and bright,
Bringing you lots of joy from morn til night!

Oooops I went an missed it,
Oooops it passed me by,
How could I miss your special day?
It's nearly made me cry,
So I hope this little card,
Shows you all is not lost,
Let me take you out for a drink,
No matter what the cost!
