Fathers Day

When I look up into your eyes,
I see a man who is kind and wise,
I see a man who calms my fears,
Who shares my worries,
Who dries my tears,
A man who is strong,
Yet gentle and meek,
A man who shows those who care,
Are not weak,
He's my father, protector,
The man from the start,
Who is always on my side,
And will always have my heart.

There's someone that I know,
Who never stops on giving,
He puts other people's needs before his own,
He's unselfish and forgiving,
He never says a bad word,
About his neighbour or a friend,
You can rely on him for his support,
He'll be right there until the end,
He's an ever shining diamond,
An example to one and all,
And I'm proud to have have this man as my dad,
He's head and shoulders above them all.

My Father I owe you such a lot,
You've always shown me the way,
You've always been strong and capable,
An example of hard work does pay,
If I can follow in your footsteps,
I'll be a happy man,
For integrity, honesty and endeavour,
Go with you hand in hand.

Rough and Tumble,
Tender and Tough,
Dads are made of Big, Strong, Stuff,
Yet inside that man,
So big, So tall,
Beats a heart not known to all,
No man can ever touch him,
No man can fill his shoes,
And no matter what life throws your way,
He's always there for you!

My dad is strong,
My dad is tough,
Yet he has so much love,
He gives more than enough,
He helps you though the good and bad,
A better dad I could never have had,
So love and thanks I give to you,
Not only on Father's Day,
But all year through.

To me dad, you're everything
I cannot begin to say,
you've loved, cared and looked out for me
you've made me who I am today.
Dad, you've always been understanding
and showered me with concern,
you're my knight in shining armour
you're my dad and best friend.

Our children may not seem
To see the things you do
They can often drive you crazy
And that goes for me, too.

But I get a feeling
One I hope that rings true
That they'll learn from the attributes
That I can see in you.

Hard working, loyal,
generous too
forgiving and supportive
are others I view.

They may not get it now,
But as the years go through,
Our children will grow to adulthood
Having learned so much from you.

Hard work, loyalty,
generosity, too
Are just some of the traits
That I see in you

It may not seem so,
But I'd bet it holds true
That our children are watching
And seeing them, too.

As your wife and their mother
Thought I'd take this cue
To say I'm so glad
They've grown learning from you.

On your special day, I want you to know
That I really respect you and I love you so
You are the person to whom I aspire
The person I know that I'll always admire.
Enjoy your day dad, you deserve it.

I know I shouldn't say this
