… the heck is he doing!! Ive been away for a lovely seaside holiday with my youngest son and family. As you can see in the photo their lovely dog, Minnie, came too.

I just love this photo and the quizzical look on Minnies face as my son, Paul, yet again! lol, has to retrieve a light soft sponge football that was accidentally kicked under the veranda! lol

… was our wedding anniversary this week and we had a lovely day out together, with a bit of shopping and browsing at a couple of garden centres plus a lovely anniversary meal out at our favourite restaurant.

This restaurant is in a fabulous area for walking with a number of trails meeting and converging in the area so each time we walk we can go a different way.

Our lovely pink rose bush is just outside out front door and is called Anniversary too! lol

… this be one of the littlest England Supporters?? My great grandson, who was less than 2 weeks old, was supporting our footballers last weekend!

Im not sure he understood what was going on though! lol He does now have a name as his parents have settled on Noah as his first name ….

But … they are still deliberating over his middle name! Thank goodness hes too young to be bothered!

… Weekend I went for a lovely walk in the countryside surrounding us. This time it was Down Weavers n Kennel Lane (as the locals call it! lol This is a fabulous Off Road walk through the lovely Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire countryside that I can walk from my front door.

These lanes make a sort if triangle with the Kane at the base not having a proper name but referred to as Bottom Lane.

There is a Surprise View that reveals itself after traversing a winding lane that always takes my breath away, even though Im expecting it! lol.

Ive seen lots of wildlife when walking down these lanes over the years, from Pheasants to wild deer, rabbits and duelling March hares etc.

This time it was a pheasant who (for some reason! lol) wouldnt stay still to have his photo taken! I really enjoyed my 9 mile walk … the bonus of not getting wet was very much appreciated too!

… weekend I spent the Saturday once again cheering on my youngest grandchildren at an athletic Mini league competition. At these 5 or 6 local athletic clubs compete against each other with each event scoring points that go towards the overall total.

Austin has only been training for a few months but is loving it. He didnt get placed in any of his events but he didnt come last either so he scored valuable points for the team.

Olivia is an exceptional athlete and has been training for a few years now. She won all of her events!

Her 800 meters race saw her win with over 100 metres between herself and the girl in 2nd! She also won the 200m with a much smaller margin and was one of the four girls running the relay race that they also won!
