This is a story of a very special young man. His first time participating in Special Olympics. He was assigned to a group of three other young men, to make a team of four. After weeks of practice his team went to the regional competition.
They did very well, which earned the team in a spot for the state competition. He was so excited to go to state! The team finished eighth at state.
While at the competition, we watched the opening ceremony, went to a lovely dinner, and went to a dance, where all of the athletes had a chance to relax, make some new friends, and of course dance.
He had the time of his life, and we are so grateful to have found this activity. Thank you Special Olympics for all you do for special needs people!

Well Olivia went to her first concert tonight. She went with her dad Will, and honestly Im not sure who was more excited. She was so excited because she went to see Katy Perry. William was excited because he got to take her!
A big day in the life of an eight year old girl! She said the concert was great, and she loved every minute of it. They took lots of photos. Maybe I can share some more of them at a later date!

Pictured is our sweet little Olivia, in a photo op for her dads company. They were getting ready for the local Christmas parade. She got to ride in the truck and throw candy to the children in the crowd.
I spoke to her after the parade and she told me she had a blast. Olivia also said she will be in another parade this weekend. This is such a busy child. She is full of adventure!

This year I hosted our family Thanksgiving. What a time we had.It started on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and finished up on Sunday afternoon. We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all of the trimmings.
From turkey to spiral sliced ham, yams, dressing, and dessert, just to mention a few items. Pictured is my brother, Kevin. He is making smores for the children...and the adults too, at the fire pit. I will share more Thanksgiving pictures in the coming weeks, as there are so many. We had a total of 17 family members attend.
Looking forward to sharing some more photos with all of you. Thank you for your continued support and God Bless you all!

Olivias school had a Thanksgiving lunch. Morgans parents, and Olivias grandparents were able to attend. Elaine her grandma, and Danny her grandpa brought her chicken nuggets from McDonalds...her favorite meal! As you can tell by the smiles on their faces, they all had a great time.
She is lucky to grow up with so much family around her!
