I wanted to share a picture of this year?s batch of turkey poults. We did so well with last year's batch that we decided to get more this year and got 10.

They are 8 weeks old now, we bought them at 6 weeks and they have grown so much already. Turkeys are so delicate at this age and you can lose them so easily if they get chilled so they have been under a heat lamp so far.

They will probably stay inside for another couple of weeks before going outside on a nice warm sunny day, then they should soon start clearing all the stinging nettles that have been growing in the field outside the barn - nettles definitely seem to be their favourite weedy snack. Here are a couple of my latest vintage cottage scene card fronts which both have matching inserts available.

Last year we decided most of the hens in our flock were getting past their prime so we bought in some young stock to bring on for this years egg production.

Here is a picture of the first chicks out of the incubator, just hours after they hatched, from our new young hens. Here are two of my recent vintage floral topper sheets.

Each sheet also has a matching background available separately.

Here is our lovely Granddaughter Isobel, (Izzy) with her new baby sister Abigail (Abby) born on Sunday morning. Apparently Izzy is enthralled with her new sister and wants kisses and cuddles with her at every opportunity.

Mum Emma had a fairly easy time with the birth and says she will definitely be doing it again - hopefully a little boy next time!

Here are two of my latest vintage style designs.

My sister's cat Loulou is such a little hot-house flower, her favourite place to sit now the wood burner is no longer lit (she would have sat on top of that if it wasn't so hot) is on a shelf in our glass porch.

The other day she found another hot spot to sit - in the empty portion of our cut and come again lettuce bed, the soil must have been lovely and warm with the sun playing down on the plastic lid.

This bumper kit and co-ordinating background & frame kit go so well together and they are on offer this week!

We can always tell when the weather is on the turn for the better at this time of year because the swallows arrive to nest in our loft.

Its wonderful to watch them teaching their hatchlings to fly as they all line up on the power lines which run down the road beside our garden and then swoop back one by one back into the nest.

The other day we kept hearing a lot of scratching and tweeting and then saw one of the swallows hanging onto the outside of the window looking in.

This kept happening all day and we worried it would hurt itself banging into the window and we just couldn't understand why it was doing it.

Luckily it hasn't happened again since and we are still seeing the little couple flying around and up into the loft.
