I've recently spent some time in hospital having hip replacement surgery and apparently my little dog Pataud missed me terribly while I was away.

When I came out of hospital, as well as the usual physiotherapy, I was told to do an hour's walking a day split down into 10 minute portions, gradually lengthening the times as I got stronger.

Here is a picture of me walking around the wooden decking area in our garden with my faithfull little dog Pataud trotting along behind me!

I had a table at my first Christmas Fair this weekend at the local village pub here in Brittany and who should be two tables away from me but CUP crafter Karen Faulds, its a small world isn't it!

Unfortunately the weather was dreadful so the turnout for the fair wasn't that good. I'd spent ages making up cards, fridge magnets, notecard sets etc and hardly sold any, although I did do quite well with hubby Nigel's homemade individual christmas puddings and jars of whisky marmalade and chilli flavoured ciderapple jelly!

I have to say it has put me off doing craft fairs but it was lovely to meet Karen and I hope we will stay in touch!

Just heard the wonderful news that hubby and I are grandparents at last! Well in actual fact Nigel is the Grandfather and I am Stepgrandmother but who cares, I still feel I'm a granny!

Little Isabelle Ashleigh Hallas and Mum Emma are doing well after a rather hard and drawn out labour. It's so frustrating sometimes living in France away from the family but hopefully will be able to skype when they get home from hospital and we are hoping they will be bringing the baby over to see us early next year - can't wait!
